About
As an introvert I have always valued peaceful quiet over loud noise, deep conversations over small talk, and genuine relationship connections over brief, revolving interactions. I place a very high value on the development of my own self-awareness and quest for authenticity, and I find it profoundly meaningful to assist my clients in their own journeys of self-discovery and healing.
I have felt called into the mental health field since I was a child; however, it wasn’t until I was in my 30’s that I was finally in the right place, mentally and practically speaking, to explore my passion for counseling and psychotherapy. Since that time, I have collected more than seven years of experience providing counseling and support to adults, children, and families who have experienced loss, adversity, change, and trauma in a variety of settings including hospice, inpatient mental health treatment, schools, non-profits, and outpatient settings. While I specialize in grief and bereavement, I consider it an immense privilege to also walk alongside clients experiencing depression and bipolar disorder, anxiety, chronic pain and chronic illness, ADHD, anger and stress management, family and relationship difficulties, trauma and abuse, as well as post-traumatic loss and growth.

My Approach
As a Licensed Professional Counselor, I work from a collaborative, strengths-based approach to develop treatment strategies and support clients as they encounter and cope with adversity. As a practitioner utilizing a strength-based model of care, I believe that the ability to survive and thrive is already within each person; therefore, the focus of therapy includes highlighting and identifying clients’ resourcefulness, self-determination, and resilience. Clients who work with me can expect therapy to focus on illuminating and cultivating the helpful attributes that are already present within themselves rather than finding what’s “broken” and “fixing” it.
